Quote of the Day:
“I myself believe that the real world, at least as I understand it, is better approached through fiction than nonfiction. If one were to describe the sexual, psychological, political, social reality of the United States at the moment, I think you would be better with a fiction writer than a nonfiction writer.”
— Louis Lapham

It is raining again. It’s predicted to rain every day into next week. During the early morning, Michael told me that it had also hailed. Now that is cold for our area of the seacoast. I do feel we need to get a boat for just in case.
After the first two tremors on Wednesday, there was another tremor on Thursday. The tremor was smaller than the two on Wednesday. Personally, I’d rather not have small earthquakes but in all the years I have lived on the Central Coast there has only been one “big” one in our area. I was at work at time and our building was rocking and rolling. I was deciding to get under my desk or head for out side. My choice was made by management. The safety crew herded us outside into the parking lot and away from the building. Now that was some excitement. Up north in Paso Robles, two women were killed.
Michael has the cold that is going around. He had visited a friend of ours whose daughter was coughing and sneezing and this is where Michael felt he got the initial dose. Each day he has become worse. Now, I’m coughing and sneezing. I don’t want to catch this little present.
The weather is so strange. It rains, it rains hard and then the sun comes out from hiding behind the clouds and there is no rain for awhile. Maybe an hour or less, then it comes down again and we pray not to be washed away with the over-soak land.
It was a fairly productive day for me in that I washed some clothes, folded and put away clean clothes and washed the downstairs’ bathroom floor. Not to bad for someone who doesn’t feel so good. There is so much more to do but not today.
I hope no one else is swimming in their new “pool” or kayaking on a new stream.
