Not a Good Day

It’s not a good day because I worry so about our bills, the rent and now the health of Max, my older tuxedo Maine Coon mix. I’m the only one at the moment that has money coming in and it only goes so far. I can only squeeze a dollar so far.

Then there’s Max. He has been having problems using his hind legs. We noticed it back in October and mentioned it to the vet when we took the boys in for their annual checkups. At this point she noticed a sore spot on his right leg but felt it was something to watch.

Watch we did, we saw him through two more episodes; the second one here recently. Max has lost almost a pound which worries me but the veterinarian was not concerned. She checked all his other parts, Max did not appreciate the temperature check and let her know about it. Then onto the hind legs; here he did some meowing as the vet moved him around and checked reflex actions.

Dr. A’s first plan of action is to take a blood sample and to take x-rays to see what she could find in either the blood or the x-ray. We had to leave him there. Michael brought me home and he went to the grocery store for some provisions.

When Michael went to get Max the x-rays were ready and it was found everything appears to be in order. Tomorrow we call in to find out what the blood test have or have not found.

I do hope there is nothing serious. Max is too young to have anything but health.
