After reading yesterday’s entry I felt I had given a bad rap to Bailey. Granted he’s just a young one and full of curiosity and energy; he’s really a wonderful cat.

First he is a love bug. Where Max is aloof and likes to be alone; Bailey cannot get enough lovin’ or giving it. He follows me everywhere I go to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to and that I’m okay. He rubs my hands all over until he can get me to pet him. If he is close enough to my face is rubs my nose. He’s always glad to see us.

He is a wonderful alarm clock. At first I was not very happy with his attention in the morning. Only I got to thinking about it, he’s much more pleasing than an alarm clock. I don’t know how he knows the time but he gets up on the bed and attempts licking my nose, my cheeks and my forehead. If I attempt to hide under my arm, he bites my elbow so I will put it down. Let me tell you those little teeth are sharp. I take some time to wake up and scritch him and hear the loveliest sound of all but his purring.

Another one of Bailey’s endearing qualities is his curiosity. When I wash my face in the a.m. or p.m. he gets up on the counter and hunkers down and watches me in what I am doing and then when I turn the faucet on – oooh boy he is all eyes. We got the cats a tabletop water fountain and Bailey has found how to drink right out spout.

He and Max both are great napping companions too.

Even though Max is an aloof cat, he does like coming in with me to meditate in the morning. His presence is very calming. Although aloof he is a very loving kitty in his own way. I wouldn’t have him any other way.

Both my boys have different personalities and they are both precious.

Well, the Virgo got to me when I couldn’t remember Aunt Dorothy’s age this year. Geesh, I know that my Granddad will be 103 this year. So, I went looking for my prior year calendars and I could only find two, 2005 and 2007 and neither one of the calendars makes mention of Aunt Dorothy’s birthday. Talk about driving a Virgo crazy. I finally sent an e-mail off to my sister to see if she remembers how old our aunt is. I know it was a couple of summers ago she was out riding her riding lawnmower around her property and enjoyed the job.

I’ve been going over the wedding photos I have and I thought it was time to post the new Mr. and Mrs. having their first kiss. It’s been three months and it still feels the same and yet it’s like all new again. I love this man! Our philosophy has been all long was one day at a time and stay in the moment. This was how we got to 15 years and I feel it will continue to keep us on the right path. Oh yeah, the other rule we go by is never go to bed mad. In all this time, we never have.

First kiss for the Mr. and Mrs.

Well gang, I’ve run out of things to say. I hope your month of May was a good one. Have a wonderful weekend.

Double Trouble

These two darlings are the stars of our lives but I must add a caveat.

Bailey is on the left, one-year old and though he looks pretty calm here but he could be possessed. He runs through the house as though a whole pack of dogs are after him. He talks to himself or maybe he has an imaginary friend. Secondly, he is either teething or in his terrible one stage because he has begun chewing things up. So far it’s only been paper, my fingers and he especially likes crumpled up paper.

Max on right, two-years-old, is very aloof. He tolerates petting unless he really wants the attention. He’s a quiet cat except when he is chasing Bailey around the house. Max likes alone time and he likes to hide from Bailey so he can get that time. Sometimes, he likes to hang out in the garage just to get away. He came up with the trick that he and Michael worked on for when he wants to go out he will stretch up and touch the door knob. Plus, he has fine form when it comes to yoga. His downward facing cat is superb. Bailey is not into yoga at all. He is more of a jock.

Needless to say, they are our babies and we love them to death.

Today is my Great Aunt Dorothy’s birthday. I was lucky to have caught her at home. Home is in Otisfield, Maine. I did forget to ask her which one this is but it is either in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Anyway, we had a good chat and lots of laughs.

Here is one more wedding photo.

We said \

The man between us is Angel the minister. He is a really cool dude. We have said “I do” and we are officially Mr. and Mrs.

One More Time

How quickly the time has gone. My laptop is still not working as it should but today seems to be a good day so I shall give it a go.

Well, I’m at the point I want to heave this laptop across the room. I have to take a break and do some journaling. Michael says he will take a stab at it and see what he comes up with. Actually, he said that before I want to heave, give him the laptop.

I’ve had a rough couple of weeks between depression, crying and the plain old blahs. It’s rough on all of us and by that I don’t just mean Michael and me but my spells also affect the cats.

I seem to be coming out this one slowly but I have to take it one minute at a time or one day at a time. Some days all I can do is get out of bed and into my chair. Other days, I’m feeling pretty good and I get cleaned up, put make up on and get dressed. Then I do stuff around the house. By the afternoon, I’m ready to call it day and wash my makeup off and into my comfy clothes.

I’m going to try to download a wedding photo so wish me luck.

We haven\'t said \

Not quite Mr. and Mrs. yet.
