Nineteen days from now, Michael and I will be going to the chapel and we are going to get married.
In the beginning neither one of us were interested in tying the knot. As the years passed by one day at a time, the talk of marriage would come up. We would shake our heads and table the discussion. We both have been married before and the marriages were not the happily ever after kind.
The days turned into years, it is amazing when you focus on one day at a time. Then last October the 17th, the conversation of marriage came up once more. I asked Michael why we didn’t just do it. We weren’t getting any younger and with our 15th anniversary coming up we’ve shown each other that we can stand beside each other when life hands us lemons and not fall apart.
So, I asked Michael to marry me and he said yes.
As it happens, our day, February 15 was the day when we found one another and will mark our 15th anniversary. Luck was with us because the 15th is on a Friday and on that day at noon and in front of our best friends and family we will say our “I do’s.”
I’m going to the chapel and I’m going to get married!

Quote of the Day:
“Knowledge of what you love somehow comes to you; you don’t have to read nor analyze nor study. If you love a thing enough, knowledge of it seeps into you, with particulars more real than any chart can furnish.”

Holy Matrimon, Em! That’s terrific. I firmly believe in marriage myself.
There was a time, after my divorce from husband #1, that I swore I’d never marry another MAN! Hrmph!
But then Paul happened to me, and life was good again.
I wish you two lovebirds all the luck and love in the world!

HOLY MATRIMONY!!!!!
Please accept my congratulations. May you find the happiness you deserve.
I have already told you congrats but I am so happy for the two of you. Many blessings.
Thank you one and all with congratulations to me and Michael. We are both quite excited and even though we’ve been together almost 15 years now; we still feel like a couple of young kids.

Well, very cool! I guess 15 years is a pretty long engagement period! Congratulations!
Hi Cath!
After 15 years I feel we ought to know one another really well. This gives us a good base for a long marriage.
